Hello! I'm a freelance, broadcast television Line Producer / Line Producer with over 20 years experience in making TV programmes in a variety of genres including; factual entertainment, entertainment, factual, observational documentary and children's. I've worked on commissions, pilots and development for a variety of channels; BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, National Geographic.
Responsible for managing production teams of just 3 to 50+ personnel, creating and managing budgets and schedules, location access and management, shoot setups, H&S, kit & technology, recruitment, compliance, accounts, post production, in-job training and business affairs.
I have arranged overseas rescue of personnel under armed guard, setup shoots all over the world (and a nightclub loo in Crawley) and successfully managed a number of location based, medical emergencies.
Starting in 1997 as a costume assistant on a Channel 4 drama, I moved to entertainment TV on game and quiz shows, progressing through the roles of Production Secretary and Production Coordinator before becoming a Production Manager in 2004 and stepped up to the role of Line Producer in 2016.
Wide ranging credits include entertainment formats (Don’t Watch That Watch This, Mashed, Viral Tap), factual entertainment (Beauty and the Geek, Mad About The House, Made Over By), observational documentary(Fix My Family, The Woman With No Face ), multi-camera fixed rig (The Nightclub Toilet) and children’s programming (Smile, Show Me What You’re Made Of).
In 2004, I setup the popular TV jobs vacancy site theunitlist.com and run it alongside the day job. I am invited to deliver guest lectures around the country at various universities and I produce and deliver training and industry events for clients that include; BAFTA, Creative Skillset, Indie Training Fund, Royal Television Society.
